Frequently asked.
Answers to common questions about Cadence.
General
What is Cadence?
Cadence is an AI-powered tool that automatically arranges your images into visually pleasing sequences and groupings. It analyzes color, texture, composition, and brightness.
Who is Cadence for?
Cadence is designed for photographers, designers, social media managers, content creators, and anyone who works with visual content. It's especially useful for:
- Photographers arranging portfolio images
- Social media managers creating engaging feed layouts
- Artists organizing work samples
- Designers arranging gallery images
- Anyone who wants to tell better visual stories
How do I use the results?
Use the results to find ideal sequences and aesthetic image groupings. You can download the ZIP file or simply arrange the images yourself based on the order Cadence produces.
How does the collage builder work?
On the results page, click any image in the sequence to add it to a collage - up to 8 images. A panel slides up from the bottom showing a live preview of how they'll be arranged. The layout adapts automatically based on how many images you've selected.
You can:
- Click an image again to remove it from the collage
- Right-click any image to view it full-size in a new tab
- Hit Suggest 4 to let the algorithm pick a cohesive group of four images automatically (great if you don't know where to start)
- Hit Shuffle to try a different layout arrangement of the same images
- Hit Download to save a 1600x1600 JPEG of your collage
- Hit Clear to start over
The collage builder is designed for finalizing sequences for Instagram posts, portfolio pages, or any time you need a single shareable image rather than the full ZIP.
How does Cadence differ from other image management tools?
Unlike basic sorting tools that only look at a single dimension like color, Cadence understands complex visual relationships between images. It uses computer vision and machine learning to identify natural transitions - finding unexpected connections that create compelling narratives.
Many tools focus on scheduling or posting; Cadence specializes in the artistic arrangement of your visual content.
Technical
What image formats are supported?
Cadence currently supports JPG, JPEG, and PNG.
Is there a limit to how many images I can upload?
Anonymous visitors can upload up to 70 images per sequence. Free registered users can upload 120 (and sequence up to 80). Creator subscribers will be able to upload up to 400 (sequencing up to 300).
How long are my images stored?
For free users, your images and generated sequences are automatically deleted after 24 hours. Creator subscribers can save up to 10 sequences.
We recommend downloading your sequences as soon as they're generated.
What do "Transition Smoothness" and "Variety" control?
Transition smoothness: Higher values (0.7-0.9) create gradual changes between consecutive images, ideal for subtle flows. Lower values allow more dramatic transitions.
Variety: Higher values (0.4-0.7) increase the diversity of images in your sequence, preventing similar images from clustering together. Lower values prioritize perfect transitions over diversity.
