Last updated: July 2026. This policy covers the Cadence website at cadence.photo and the Cadence mobile app.
The short version
Cadence exists to arrange your photographs, not to collect them. Images you upload are processed to generate your sequence, made available for you to download, and are not shared with anyone, used to train AI models, or sold. Ever.
Your photographs
When you upload images, they are transferred securely (HTTPS) to our server, where our sequencing algorithm analyses their visual properties. Your images and generated sequences are stored only as long as needed to deliver your results and downloads, after which they are removed from our server as part of routine cleanup. We do not view your photographs, share them with third parties, or use them for anything other than generating the sequence you asked for.
Account information
If you register, we store your email address and a hashed version of your password (we cannot see the password itself). We use your email to operate your account. We do not send marketing email without your consent, and we never sell or share your email address.
Usage limits and IP addresses
To operate fair daily usage limits, we log basic request records. For visitors without an account this includes your IP address; for registered users it is tied to your account instead. These records are used only for rate limiting and abuse prevention.
Cookies
Cadence uses a session cookie to keep you signed in and to connect your upload to your results page. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Analytics
We use Plausible, a privacy-focused analytics service, to understand how the site is used in aggregate - page views, referral sources and feature usage. Plausible does not use cookies and does not collect or store personal data or IP addresses in an identifiable form. There is no cross-site tracking.
Contact messages
If you use the contact form, we store the name, email address and message you provide so we can respond. Email to info@cadence.photo is handled by our email provider for delivery.
Payments
When paid subscriptions launch, payment processing will be handled by Stripe. Card details will be entered on and processed by Stripe directly - Cadence will not receive or store your card number.
The mobile app
When you choose photos to upload, the app uses your device's system photo picker, which means Cadence only ever receives the specific images you select - it has no access to browse your photo library. Downloads are saved to your device's Downloads folder. The app collects no additional data beyond what is described above.
Data removal
You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing info@cadence.photo. Uploaded images are removed from the server automatically as described above.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will update this page and the date at the top. Questions are always welcome at info@cadence.photo.
